SHORE COMMUNITY SERVICES
Skokie, IL

Strategic alterations transformed this former police station into a light-filled, open, and flexible environment for Shore staff and the communities they serve. Working efficiently around existing structural challenges, we redesigned areas programmed for law enforcement – including interrogation rooms, holding cells, dispatch, a shooting range, and evidence room – into approachable, activity-based learning and therapy spaces for individuals with disabilities. Accessible signage and wayfinding allow participants to easily navigate the building.
